Finding Relief for Individuals, Children and Families

Do you constantly feel overwhelmed, like there’s always more to do and never enough time or energy to catch your breath? Maybe it’s difficult to rest or simply be. You might struggle with perfectionism, people-pleasing, or routines that feel rigid and consuming, leaving you distressed when anything interrupts them.

Anxiety can build silently and gradually, especially when you’re managing multiple responsibilities or feeling pressure to meet expectations—your own or those placed on you by others. It makes sense if you’re feeling stretched thin or stuck in patterns you can’t seem to break.

Many people don’t realize their symptoms are anxiety. They just know they’re exhausted, overwhelmed, or not feeling like themselves. In therapy, I help individuals sort through the thoughts that fuel fear, worry, and self-doubt. Together, we examine the stories anxiety tells you, challenge beliefs that no longer serve you, and gently face fears and triggers with support. The goal is to help you live life with more ease and confidence rather than letting worry take the lead.

We also explore boundaries, people-pleasing patterns, and unrealistic expectations that contribute to stress. I teach strategies to release those pressures and build trust in your own needs, choices, and voice.

Part of therapy involves reconnecting with what brings you joy, fulfillment, and calm. This can include mindfulness practices, grounding strategies, or simple, practical tools to stay present, even when life feels chaotic. And when anxiety is connected to trauma or past experiences, we create a safe space to process and heal.

Anxiety in Children and Teens

Anxiety looks different in young people than it does in adults—and it can be especially confusing when someone you love is struggling but can’t explain why. Maybe your child or teen has become more avoidant, irritable, or withdrawn. Activities they once enjoyed no longer appeal to them. You may see more meltdowns, shut-downs, or behaviors that feel out of character.

Common signs:

  • Tantrums, meltdowns, or behavioral changes

  • Trouble in school or refusing to attend

  • Difficulty making new friends or low self-esteem

  • Fear of being away from familiar or trusted adults

  • Restlessness, nightmares, or bedwetting

  • Intense worries about safety or health; being constantly on guard

  • Frequent stomachaches, headaches, or unexplained physical pain

  • Changes in sleep or appetite

  • Pulling away from family, friends, or activities they used to enjoy

You may try to get them to talk, but younger children might not have the words to describe what they’re feeling. Older kids and teens often push away the people they’re most connected to, making it hard to know what’s really going on. You can see they’re struggling—you just may not know how to help.

Anxiety in Adults

Symptoms including:

  • Restlessness

  • Agitation or irritability

  • Difficulty concentrating

  • Muscle tension

  • Trouble sleeping

  • Avoidance

You might feel overwhelmed or stuck, as though you’ve tried every coping skill you know but nothing seems to provide real relief. Stress from work, relationships, life changes, or the uncertainty of recent years may have intensified your anxiety. You want stability and peace, but worry keeps getting in the way.

You may be wondering: Could therapy help me regain a sense of control and balance?

Yes, therapy offers a supportive environment to understand what you’re experiencing, learn tools to manage anxiety, and rebuild a sense of confidence and steadiness.

If you’re ready to feel more grounded, present, and in control, online anxiety therapy could be a meaningful step forward. Together, we can help you and your family find your way back to calm.

  • I don't, no. so I can focus fully on you, not on insurance rules or corporate policies. This allows for higher quality care, more flexibility,  and more confidentiality.

Why? Because real healing takes time, and your story is unique. Therapy isn’t about following a script or meeting quotas, it’s about creating a space where you feel seen and understood. Staying independent allows me to tailor our work to what you truly need, without being restricted by session limits or standardized treatments. This means we can go at your pace and focus on what matters most to you.

I know that paying out-of-pocket can feel overwhelming. To help, I’m happy to provide a monthly statement (a “Superbill”) that you can submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement. I am happy to assist you through Thrizer

If the fee feels like a stretch, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I offer sliding-scale options because I believe therapy should be accessible. If you feel like we’d be a good fit, we can find a way to make it work. You're not alone in this—I’m here to support you every step of the way.

As a general rule, call your insurance company prior to our first session in order to verify out-of-network reimbursement and coverage by asking the following:

    • Does my plan include out-of-network, outpatient mental health coverage?

    • If so, what percentage of the fee do you reimburse for therapy with a licensed LMFT?

    • Do I have an annual deductible and has it been met?

    • Is there a limit to the number of sessions my plan covers per calendar year?

    • How do I submit claims?

Some carriers have been authorizing Telehealth during the COVID pandemic but intend to eventually drop this coverage. Clients must contact their plan administrator to verify that their PPO plan covers outpatient mental health via telehealth with an out-of-network provider.

    • All intake paperwork must be completed by the day before your first session. If it’s not, your appointment may be canceled and your slot released.
